Intro to Web Development for Teens

Connecting Culture and Tech in Hawaiʻi

In this one day workshop at Mililani Public Library, teens will learn the basics to create their own website.


Registration required and must be done in-person at the Mililani Public Library information desk. Teens must provide their valid HSPLS library card number with no parental internet block to register. Limited to 12 teen participants (grades 7th – 12th).

10:00 am - 12:00pm @ Mililani Public Library


By the end of the session, teens will create a website inspired by their cultures and experiences in Hawaiʻi and be equipped with resources to continue learning. No experience required! Materials provided.


Workshop will consist of:

  • Brief mini lecture
  • Live-coding session
  • Students work on independent projects with guidance of TORCH mentors.


Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
